After spending two weeks in Northern Bali (Amed and Tulamben), I am writing to you from a nearby island. We took the five-hour slow ferry from Padang Bai, Bali to Lombok and spent two nights in Senggigi, two in Gili Trawagan and have been in Gili Meno since August 16. We were here for Indonesian Independence Day and the festival celebrating the end of Ramadan. We participated in the parade and fireworks on the final night and walked around the island with many of the people from the village.

We have so many videos and posts to add to our site but for some reason the Internet in Lombok does not allow us onto WeSaidGoTravel.com. We will add them all when we get back to Bali.

Many thanks to Kit Herring!! His posts have been an incredible addition and he has been managing all the THEY SAID writers! Through June and July we had an amazing 100,000 page views and in August so far over 70,000! Thanks for reading, sharing and commenting on our site.

At the end of July 2012, we were listed in the TOP 25 Travel Blogs on Technorati.com! In early August, we joined Empire Ave. Are you on the AVE? Send me your ticker! We were a top 15 Fledgling and are now a top 15 Greenhorn. Our site is growing, our trip is great and we will send more news soon.
