We Said: Hello from Thailand

Hello from Chiang Mai, Thailand. We voted by absentee ballot and will wait to see what happens today in American politics. When we were away on our last sabbatical in 2008, we heard the news of Obama's first win while in Indonesia.

During our 27 days in Myanmar (Burma) during most of October we had limited Internet and news. Now that we are back in Thailand, we are getting our visas for India and catching up. I am creating a virtual video tour of our time in Myanmar (Burma). We visited Yangon, Mandalay, Hsipaw, Monywa, Bagan and Inle Lake. The map of our trip is the photo above. I cannot wait to share the stories, photos and videos of our incredible journey.

Thank you to everyone for all the birthday wishes and for your participation in my 45x45 birthday project. I am happy to share that together we raised enough money to provide solar cookers to more than the 45 families or over 200 people I had originally hoped to help.
